Job Placement & Student Services

“We used to keep job postings private for our alumni but we don’t bother now because we know if our grads are applying they will get the job.” – Lisa Helbig, Executive Director & Owner

ITM doesn’t stop working for you at graduation. We have great relationships with potential employers across several areas of the health and wellness industry, including salons, clinics, sports organizations, health clubs, chiropractors, spas and physical therapy offices. We keep this contact information in our Graduate Services department.

ITM graduates are in demand, and our placement rates are exceptional. Many potential employers, already aware of the quality of our students, will only accept resumes from our alumni. Graduates have lifetime access to our Placement Services department, at no charge, to learn of the latest employment opportunities. While we can’t guarantee employment, we do actively assist you in job placement, while providing support and advice for our graduates who want to establish their own practice.

Referrals

The Institute for Therapeutic Massage gets calls from local patrons looking to receive massage therapy at the school by a trained Massage Therapist. Graduates may, by request, have their name added to the list of therapists we call.

Continuing Education Courses

ITM is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a Category A provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Should a graduate decide to take and pass the National Certification Exam, they would be required to take a certain amount of approved CEUs to maintain their Nationally Certified status. Our approval allows therapists who take continuing education at ITM to apply those hours towards their requirement. ITM offers many advanced modalities as continuing education courses, including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Trigger Point Therapy and Pain Management, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), and more. For a full list of our continuing education courses.

Discounts

Graduates of ITM are eligible for a 10% discount on all of our Continuing Education courses. Simply notify the school at the time of registration that you are a graduate, and your course fee will be adjusted accordingly.
