I know… I know… it isn’t the most creative title in the world, but this is our first blog entry, and we are excited to get the word out! That also is who we are… the largest privately owned Massage Therapy school in New Jersey where students from all over the state (as well as New York) learn to become a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, and Shiatsu Practitioner.
Well… that is actually part of who we are, and the goal of this blog is to become a resource for those who are already bodywork professionals, as well as those who want to become one. We will be bringing you article reviews, white papers, and contributions from thought leaders in the industry on the the latest and greatest breakthroughs in Massage Therapy, Shiatsu, Personal Training, Continuing Education CEU’s, Swedish, Medical, Hospital Based, and Oncology Massage, Marketing, Licensing and Certification Issues on both the state and national levels, what our governing bodies, such as ABMP, AMTA, COMTA, NCBTMB, and others are up to, etc etc etc.
Some of the experts in the field of health and wellness that we work with, and will be contributing to our blog are: Ralph Stephens – Medical & Sports Applications of Massage, Pat Mayrhofer of Nature Stones Inc – The use of heated basalt and chilled marble stones, Dr. Ben Benjamin – Assessment and Treatment of Medical & Orthopedic Injuries, Jennifer Kries – The use of Pilates & Yoga in treating musculoskeletal issues, Karyn Chabot – Ayurvedic applications of massage, Dr Joseph Maio – Travells’ Trigger Point Therapy, and more. We also follow, advocate, and will write about The Aaron Mattes Method, Art Riggs Myofascial Release, Erik Dalton, Jim Masterson – Equine Massage, Doug Alexander – Nerve Mobilization, Meade Steadman, Dr. Anthony James – Thai Massage, and so many others.
We are actively involved in community outreach, with 4 hospital locations, over 3000 clinic massages / year (many of which are provided at no charge), and charitable associations with Gilda’s Club and Project Ladybug – Dina Manzo of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was very gracious to us. We continue to look for ways to bring a heightened awareness as it relates to massage therapy, and are always open to any opportunity to give back to the community at large. If you have any thoughts or ideas with regards to how we can get involved, or if there is a body of information that we should help bring to the public at large, please do let us know.
Below, you will find a picture of our school location in Red Bank. One of the many things we will be adding to our website are campus photographs and videos, virtual tours, and introductions to continuing education with our instructors. With that said, please bookmark us, come back often, become a friend on Facebook, follow us on Twitter (coming soon), and it will be a fun, and educational ride.
